So guess where I went today!
The used record/book/cd/old crap store! Man, I love that place.
I searched fruitlessly through the LPs and found a hell of a lot of Liza Minnelli, but no Kylie Minogue.
HOWEVER
I searched through the 45s and BAM! All three of her most successful singles (in the US anyway) from the 80s. Mmmmm, vinyl. Whoever owned the Locomotion before I did apparently had a cat or a dog or something, because the cover also contained a few white hairs that aren't human (and one that I think was human because it had a split end) but I cleaned them all with alcohol when I got home to get the dust and other-people germs off so they can stay in nice condition. Actually, the sleeves are pretty worn out and a little faded and stained, but the vinyl itself is in perfect condition, all shiny and black and pretty and everything. I can see a few scratches, but they seem to be just surface scratches, I doubt they'll make it skip. Haven't gotten a chance to listen yet (and I'm a moron, because I keep forgetting they won't fit in the CD tray on my computer) but I'm expecting all three to sound just fine. I don't know if I'll bother listening more than once, since it's kind of annoying to use the record player and you have to keep switching sides and anyway I have the mp3s in what's likely better quality on my computer. But I just love having them, they're so pretty and I feel all special now because I own them.
So I got The Locomotion (whose B-side is I'll Still Be Loving You) (I used to like Locomotion when I was little, because Kylie is my destiny apparently)
I Should Be So Lucky (whose B-side is the instrumental for ISBSL) (and which is like, one of my very favoritest songs EVER, I get so stupid happy whenever it comes on, so this is pretty special to me)
and It's No Secret (whose B-side is Made In Heaven) (Also I LOVE LOVE LOVE Made In Heaven so WHOO FOR ME)
The condition could be a lot better and they probably aren't worth much more than the $1.50 I paid ($2.50 in total because I bought two other unrelated 45s) but I was happy. Fifty cents a piece to own my idol on lucious vinyl and FINALLY join the ranks of the esteemed Kylie fan elite? Too good to pass up. No new Beatles, because I don't know if you heard, but they aren't making music anymore. Trufax! (Also I think I own everything any of them ever put out and if I don't the record store probably doesn't have it, either.)
Then we went to Taco Bell and I won a free large Dr Pepper (vaild on my next visit) from a scratchcard. Today was good.
Except my throat hurts. I can still talk though. Still. GOOD DAY.

HI SEPTEMBER
DNW SUMMER TO BE OVER :(
WE CAN STILL BE FRIENDS I GUESS THOUGH
I can't tell if I'm sick or not. I keep having a high temperature and being achy and a little cough-y (only every so often) but I don't feel really sick. I feel like I'm going to get sick, but it hasn't happened yet and it's been awhile. I think it's a minor sinus infection like I had last year and didn't know until my ears hurt and the doctor told me. My ears do hurt a little now (why do I get so much water in there??) We'll see what happens.
It's raining and thundering but not too dark out. I like it.

Fluwatch~~2009~*~
Um, I think I'm not sick anymore. Maybe. I woke up today feeling pretty normal and non-feverish, although I still felt a little crappy. Now I feel kind of crappy but my temperature is only 98.5, which isn't that high, although it was 97.5 a few hours ago. Now I feel horrible again. I haven't been sniffling or coughing or anything, it might be a stomach thing but it's pretty mild if that's the case. I looked up some stuff, heat exhaustion seemed like it could be it, but then, not really. I have no idea what's going on, if anything is going on. I've been drinking as much water as I normally do, which I guess is all I can do.
Should anything develop, I'll document more. I feel a bit sore all over, actually. Hmm. In any case, it's definitely not the flu.
STAY TUNEDDDD~~

PEOPLE. KEEP AHOLD OF YOUR DOGS. IT IS NOT THAT HARD AND IF IT IS YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS OWNING DOGS.
Two little white guys, not the same breed but looking sort of related, maybe mutts, idk, were just wandering around in my backyard, sniffing at the screen room. Considering the fact that the sky looks like death and there's a severe thunderstorm warning out, I was worried. I gathered up my courage (I'm terrified of dogs, like whoa) and went outside, but they were gone. I think I saw one barking at someone a few houses away, so I think the dogs managed to get home okay, but still. The weather is too bad in the summer (either scorchingly hot or dangerously rainy/lightning-y) for dogs to be outside. COLLARLESS DOGS, no less. Jesus. I hope they both got home okay.
Seriously, folks. I am too sick to be worrying about your dogs. Now my head is aching and for some reason my neck hurts. I should be in bed, not chasing your animals. *angryface*
OKAY WHO IS TALKING WHY DO I HEAR A DOG BARKING/MAN'S VOICE, I DON'T SEE ANYTHING. wtf is going on.

FLUWATCH2009~~~!@221 UPDATE!!~*~*~
I'm sick. For reals. My temperature is 101 :( I just ate a bagel and took some ibuprofen. I don't think it's the actual flu, but I'm not going to the doctor to find out, unless I get a lot worse.
For archival purposes I have to mention that my father came home from the hospital yesterday (routine procedure, nothing serious. He was just there overnight.)
Now I'ma take my aching ass back to bed. Kbye.

Fluwatch 2009!!!!!!!~~~
For the past few days I've been fighting an intermittent sore throat and strange feverish feeling. (This morning my temperature was 96.5. I don't even know what to say anymore.)
I can't figure out if I'm sick or not. I keep going to bed early and then not sleeping well but I feel like crap. Sometimes. Other times I feel fine. Right now I feel sick again. Hmm. My last illness of any kind was last August, so I suppose I must be due, should I turn out to actually be sick. We'll see how it goes.

FLUWATCH 2009!!!!
I am so totally getting sick right now. I have a sinus headache and I keep coughing and I have an overall feeling of unwellness that I only get when I'm genuinely sick. Watch me feel like a million bucks tomorrow now, hee. If I am sick, it won't be with the flu, though. I don't get the flu.

Good news:
FLUWATCH 2009:
-Still not sick.
-Have baby migraine, though. Funnily enough darkness bothers my eyes more than the computer screen.
BEATLES:
-The Beatles version of that Rockband game comes out 09/09/09. Neat.
-Paul and Ringo will be playing TOGETHER at the SAME TIME on the SAME STAGE with some other folks at some sort of benefit concert for... teaching children of war how to meditate? Good idea in theory, but I bet they'd rather have, like, food or something.
Kylie Minogue:
-She's going to be in a Bollywood movie AND sing a song!
September:
-Currently recording new album while releasing singles off of her old one in hopes of getting ANOTHER US club hit (You may have heard the last one- "Cry For You", the one that goes "You'll never see me again, so now who's gonna cry for you?")
-Recently stated Kylie was her inspiration. I love it when my musical loves collide.
Birds:
-My birds (Mookie and Rocco) have been pretty crappy as pets since I got them, but today they let me feed them some celery. It was A Moment. I'm glad.
Rays:
-Been doing pretty well in Spring Training. Whoo!
My Novel:
-Still sucks :(
Headache:

I feel so betrayed. My heated blanket displayed the error message this morning. My complete and utter fear of all things electrical means I'll probably never turn it on again.
Venus was pretty tonight.
FLUWATCH UPDATES~~
Woke up with absolutely KILLER sore throat. It disappeared fairly quickly. Suspect allergies.

Transcribing from paper is hard. Somehow, I have ended up with a sore elbow.
WHEN WILL THIS NOVEL BE FINISHEDDDDDDDDDD
It sucks because there are like six pages here gahhh and they're not even for the main narrative. They're from the points of view of two other characters, while the main story is written from the point of view of Main Character. So it's a lot of work but it doesn't feel like work and why does my elbow hurt? Grrrrrr.
In other news~~
FLUWATCH '09: Still no flu. Only have allergies, pollen counts have been off the damn charts lately. Fluwatch will remain a permanent staple of my journal now because I'm having a lot of fun with it, absurdly enough. 21 years and still no flu, HA. If anyone out there does have a flu currently, you have my sympathy. My immune system, however, is scoffing at your virusy weakness.
